What have you learned in your CAS class that is useful in the technology facet of IST?

One of the things we learned in the CAS class was how to organize ourselves into a group, and assign work accordingly. We had to do a final project in IST Technology facet which was to create a video. By having our predefined roles we were able to easily accomplish our work.

What have you learned in the technology facet that is useful in group communication?

During the technology facet we learned about the origins of many of today’s communication devices. This helped us understand what many people had to go through, and helped increased our understanding of how that technology worked.

What examples from your group's interaction are relevant to a technological perspective?

I felt our group interact with each other fine, like a well oiled machine with little problems. We accomplished what we set out to do, and did it in an orderly manner while accomplishing the goal. Similar to technology we worked like a computer. Eventually without some maintenance we would fall apart, and we would have to reinvent ourselves in order to succeed later on. We cannot keep talking about the same things all the time, so it all works out in the end.

How do you think what you have learned in the technology facet will affect your future career?

I believed this facet helped me understand technology more, and that I’ll will have to adapt to its ever changing qualities. Adaptability was one of the best qualities any prospective employee can have since technology changes so rapidly, and what might be a new fangled technology today, will probably end up in some garage sell tomorrow.
